At Gayton Baptist Church, we have all priority above all others: Jesus Christ.
Gayton is a family of people who have found hope in Jesus and want as many people as possible to experience that same hope, freedom, and life found in Him.
Our mission is simple: To be disciples who make disciples of all generations.
Gayton has been part of the Richmond community for more than 30 years. We began meeting at Gayton Elementary School in 1989 before moving into our current building on N. Gayton Road just four years later, in 1993—where we’re still blessed to gather today.
Through the years, God has faithfully led us and given us opportunities to serve our community and share the love of Christ.
Gayton has a rich history of engaging with the community around us. As we look toward the future, discipling people and reaching new generations remain at the heart of who we are as followers of Christ.
We offer ministry and discipleship opportunities for people of all ages—from birth through every stage of life—helping people grow in faith, build community, and follow Christ together.
Gayton creates opportunities for people of all ages to grow, connect, and serve.
Through AGAPE Preschool, The SPACE Afterschool, and Quest Summer Camp, we support children and families with Christ-centered learning, care, and connection.
Beyond our church walls, Gayton Care Ministries serves neighbors in need, while our Faith & Recovery Ministry offers fellowship, teaching, service, and hope to the recovery community.
Most importantly, you are always welcome at Gayton Baptist Church. We're saving a seat for you.
Wherever you are on your faith journey—whether you're exploring who Jesus is, looking for a church home, or seeking to grow deeper in your faith—you are welcome to be part of the Gayton family.
We provide opportunities to learn, serve, connect, and grow throughout the week and throughout our community.
Whether you're exploring faith, looking for a church home, or simply curious about Gayton, we'd love to welcome you. Find out what to expect and take your first step toward connecting with our church family.
