This Sunday is our 5th and final week in our Think Again series! We’ll explore Judges 2–3 and the story of the Judges as we learn an important Wonder Truth: God Is Merciful. Even when the Israelites repeatedly turned away from God, God continued to show them mercy and sent leaders to rescue them.
Elementary Kids Worship Parents: Please take a moment this week to help your 2nd–5th grader mark Judges 2 in their Adventure Bible for Sunday. It is SO incredibly appreciated! If your child can’t find their Bible or is new to Gayton Kids and doesn’t have one yet, please reach out to Pastor Hillary and she will have one ready for them on Sunday.
Parking is available all around the church. When you enter the parking lot, please turn right and follow the one-way traffic pattern. On Sunday mornings, we use two entrances: the front entrance and the patio entrance.
For families with children, we recommend entering through the front entrance, where our Greeting Team will welcome you and help you get where you need to go. Nursery Care, Preschool Church, and Elementary Kids Worship are all located on the same level as the front entrance in our Education Wing.
Creating secure places to tell the truth of God’s big story is a high priority for us. Creating safe places helps kids hear God’s story and experience His transformation in their lives.
Here are a few things from our Policies and Practices that you may notice when you drop off or pick up your child or grandchild on Sunday mornings!
Our volunteers scheduled for Sunday morning will have their photos clearly posted outside of each classroom and will be wearing blue "VOLUNTEER" lanyards inside the classroom.
Why are there two or more people in the classroom even when attendance is low? We follow the 2-deep leader rule. Ministry volunteers with children observe the “two leader rule” at all times so that no leader is left alone with children on a routine basis.
As a children’s ministry, we want to be prepared for emergency situations such as a medical emergency, a fire, a weather-related emergency, or other situation. Each classroom has their own emergency contact information documents on removable clipboards and emergency procedure binders.
We'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions of ways to make our spaces more welcoming and more secure for kids. Please contact Pastor Hillary with your ideas!
God invites even the smallest children into His beautiful story. Before a child ever opens their eyes, God has already seen them, knows them by name, and loves them deeply. Scripture reminds us of the sacred responsibility we have to care for children, guide them with wisdom, and nurture their spiritual growth. At Gayton Baptist, our Kids Ministry is a place where children are welcomed, known, and encouraged to discover God’s love in age-appropriate and meaningful ways.
Our Nursery (Rm. 210-212) is a warm, safe, and joyful space for infants and toddlers from birth to age three. Loving volunteers care for our youngest children while creating an environment where faith can begin to take root. Because we believe spiritual formation starts early, our Nursery Care programming includes a monthly prayer, blessing, Scripture, Bible truth, simple activity, and song rhyme—introducing God’s love in gentle and developmentally appropriate ways.
As children grow, our Preschool Church (PSC) and Elementary Kids Worship (EKW) build on that foundation by creatively engaging kids in God’s Word. Every Kids Ministry experience is centered on Scripture and designed to connect what children learn on Sunday mornings with discipleship at home throughout the week. Using a unified three-year scope and sequence, both preschool and elementary kids learn the same biblical truths in age-appropriate ways. God’s big story of redemption and hope through salvation in Jesus Christ is at the heart of everything we do, helping children hear, experience, and live out their faith week after week.
Preschool Church (Room 228) welcomes children ages three through Pre-K each Sunday morning. Our dedicated volunteers guide preschoolers through age-appropriate Bible stories, supported by engaging pre- and post-worship small group activities. Each lesson is thoughtfully designed to lay a strong foundation for a child’s faith journey, helping them begin to know God in ways that are meaningful, accessible, and fun. Through stories, activities, videos, and hands-on experiences, preschoolers discover God’s truth through His Word.
Elementary Kids Worship (Room 230) is a dynamic and engaging worship experience created just for elementary-aged kids. Through worship music, Bible teaching, interactive activities, videos, and small group connections, children learn that they can make wise choices, build strong relationships, and grow a deep and authentic faith. Each week focuses on one clear and memorable biblical truth, helping kids leave knowing what matters most—and how God’s Word applies to their everyday lives.
PROGRAMMING: We offer programming during both the 10 AM Worship Hour and the 11 AM Bible Study Hour, with the exception of 5th Sundays and certain holiday weekends throughout the year.

PLAY TIME: Preschoolers and Elementary Schoolers have a special time to visit our indoor play structure, the Treehouse, during the 11 AM hour.
