This fall, Second Baptist Church will be hosting a Parent Retreat on September 18–19, and they have invited families from our church to join them.
The speaker is Meredith Miller, a children's ministry leader and author who is passionate about helping parents nurture a faith in their children that is both authentic and lasting. Her work is practical, thoughtful, and deeply encouraging, and her latest book, Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn't Have to Heal From, has been identified as a helpful resource for parents and ministry leaders alike.
The retreat is for parents of children of all ages and is designed to offer practical tools, meaningful conversation, and space to be reminded that they are not alone in the important work of raising kids in faith.
The cost is $50 per couple or $30 per individual, which includes Meredith's book, dinner on Friday evening, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and all retreat materials.
